+# M5Stack Tab5 Touch Dashboard
+
+PlatformIO starter for the M5Stack Tab5. It demonstrates the 1280x720 display,
+touch buttons, a brightness slider, touch coordinates, memory, battery, Wi-Fi,
+and accelerometer status.
+
+## Build and upload
+
+```powershell
+pio run
+pio run --target upload
+pio device monitor --baud 115200
+```
+
+If needed, append the port: `--upload-port COM29`.
+
+## Controls
+
+- **RED**, **GREEN**, and **BLUE** change the central panel.
+- **RESET** restores the default and clears the counter.
+- Drag the bottom slider to change brightness.
+- Touching the colour panel draws a white marker.
+
+Current M5Unified and M5GFX versions support the different display/touch
+controller variants shipped in Tab5 units.
+
+## Next steps
+
+1. Connect Wi-Fi and show the IP address.
+2. Add an SD-card browser.
+3. Add camera and audio tests.
+4. Recreate the dashboard with LVGL widgets.
